Personally I’d like to see space ranger spin rethemed to the new movie and updated as well.

Truth be told, I'd rather not see the new version in the parks. It would be weird to have two Buzzes.

Buzz has for many years been ignored and desperately needs a good clean up, updated, refurb. But I'd bet that LY 2022 wont be enough to get the purse strings open. Dont get your hopes up that a new movie can get you anything in the way of fixing the old or bringing in anything new.

Of course. Get that merch on the shelves as soon as you can. Disney fans will buy lots of stuff no matter the cost. Buzz has always been popular and has a lot of followers. A new Buzz flick will increase his profitability to Dis.

I always thought this is still the Toy Story version, about the Buzz character the toy is based upon.
This is the movie that would have dropped in the timeline of Andy being a small child, and playing in cinemas prior to the first Toy Story, sparking the huge line of toys and merch which we see him receiving at his birthday party.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's just how I'm thinking this will be. A spinoff, not a reimagining.

There is a 3rd version many forget..His Animated Series form that Andy would have watched..
