My family really enjoyed the show and would definitely see it again next trip as we only saw a preview and not everything was working properly yet. I think it was a good addition to the park.

I like wait... love cars... and I would see it again. Some of the things they do during the show are pretty amazing. Those who don't appreciate it may not know the level of driving ability your watching. I can bet you will not see that type of driving ability that often unless your at LMX or a race track. LOL You guys are way to critical sometimes.

I love cars too...and CAN appreciate the level of stunt driving ability...what bores me to death are all the filler areas where they do all the explanation...I suppose they're crucial to set things up and stuff...but they're long and boring (especially when you know the 'secrets' already)....Just some more thoughts....

I'm glad you said this, Woody. Our family opted to skip the LMAX show this past vacation because it didn't appeal to us.

I personally think NO ONE should skip LMAX...not only because NO Disney attraction should ever be skipped (unless you absolutely have to), but because you would be missing out on an entertaining attraction.

Its the repeat factor which I question...especially in a park like The Studios...

Personally I rank the new attractions like this:

1. LMAX
2. Lucky/Soarin'
4. Cinderellabration (I like the Suprise show much better)

LMAX is a very good stunt show... where else can you see cars racing and jumping and spinning so close to each other without it being on TV? (or Disney Paris)... this is a really great show compared to other stunt shows...

Soarin' on the other hand was just a relaxing video that failed to give you that hang gliding feeling... especially since you could see the guests' feet above you and the edge of the screen while looking in the center of it... I thought it was ok, but nothing to celebrate about... LMAX on the other hand left me in awe... Lucky left me in more awe than Soarin' but I rank them the same... and Cinderellabration is just crap compared to the other show...

BTW, I'm a 20 y/o male who enjoys competing in auto x and road course racing so maybe I'm biased...

I saw LMAX twice on the last trip and enjoyed it both times. I would expect I will see it again in September. I also expect my wife will NOT go see it next week while she is there!

For me, this show has joined the ranks of CBJ, M:S, Buzz Lightyear, and others when I said, "Well, I won't have to worry about standing in line for that one again.".

While I always respect other opinions I have to disagree with you about LMA. I personnally thought that LMA was far better than Indy and judging by the crowd reactions during my trip I am not alone. I have believed for a while now that something had to change with the Indy show because the franchise has been fairly stagnant for a while now (yeah I know another movie is in the works). Maybe now we will see something new in that space (I have a preferance, but in order to avoid hijacking the thread I won't go on)

On a side note I was interviewed by WDW Research after seeing LMA and asked about comparisions to Indy. The Research CM did mention that they were considering keeping LMA after the Celebration is over so take that as you will.......

Like I said, we will eventually see it. But fast cars....ehhh??? And the effect the show has on the volume of people in the park is great. It's too hard to pass up on virtual walk-ons at Tower and RnRC when there is a stunt show in progress.

They'd be silly to spend money on the stadium and sets just to stop doing it after the Celebration. Now, if they wanna get rid of something get rid of SGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SGE is beyond lame!

Who's to say they would use it for LMA after the Celebration? Take down the facades and you could change shows quite quickly.

I was non-plussed by the show.

I'd never tell people to not see it at least once, but once was all I needed. Ever.

I didn't like the seating, I didn't find the show terribly exciting (except for the very last part), and I felt it was a bit drawn out (I can't imagine what it was like in previews and it was 50% longer).

I think my biggest gripe is that I just can't stand the "fake" filmmaking. It's not fooling anyone in 2005. We've been deluged with "making of" documentaries for 20-25 years now, and with DVD it's just gotten exponentially more general knowledge. While I was there, one of the guys in the show had bleached his hair since the "fake" film on the screen was taken, and the host (the male one) had to ad lib why - and it was very forced.

There was no great mystery to anything they showed. I think the show would have been SO much better - ten times over - if they had just dropped the whole silly "behind the scenes" foolishness and just put on more of an actual stunt show. Maybe told a story, or just a larger quantity of stunts.

I mean, it was "okay"...just nothing that made me say "WOW" except for the last five seconds. Unless it's a very empty show, I just don't see myself braving those crowds again.

I have to say, the best part of the show was that they sat us at the top and the views of the rest of MGM and other landmarks.

I'm sure some people are going to love it - it just wasn't my cup of tea.

So wait... do you like Indy's fake filming better or do you disike Indy just as much because of the fake filming?? The reason they do all the behind the scenes foolishness is because you're at a movie studio and you're learning how they do stuff in movie studios...

I agree. Everyone should see it once. Repeat value, I didn't leave it and get back in line like we did Soarin.

And we had to revisit the park to see Soarin as it broke down last week right before we went in the fastpass line. Soarin is the talk of WDW

I've seen LMAX a couple times now and I like it and I'm not even a fan of those action stunt shows. I was actually surprised that I liked it. But I don't really like the seating...and it can be unpleasant when it's really hot outside!

Seating and crowd control is the pits. They place everyone in one room and then release. People could get run over.
