Does anyone know when LCM will begin soft openings or passholder previews?
This site just says Q1 2005.
I'm going the first week in Feb and am hoping to see it

It will open officially May 1st, along with Soarin'. I'd expect AP previews to be in late March, and limited soft openings in early-mid March. I don't think you'll see it in Feb, but wierder things have happened, so keep checking back to see the latest updates.

Have a fun trip!

FYI it's Lights, Motors, Action! not Lights, Cameras, Motors.

The official opening date is May 1 2005. However, the show has been in rehersal now for 6 months, everything in the stadium looks close on ready, the entry area looks to be in a state of immedite opening readiness, so I think there is a good chance of seeing previews of some sort very very soon.

And people have been saying that you can catch one of the rehersals on the Backlot Tour if you're lucky.

The stadium is ready, the area is ready, the queue is ready...so once the actors (stuntmen?) are ready, it should be a go.

One last question: will the Backlot Tour be including the inside of the stadium like it does at Disney Studios Paris? I had assumed it would, but I haven't heard anything about it, so now I'm not so sure.

It is alas not the case in Paris ;) but said to be planned for Florida when the show won't be running. In Paris the tram goes next to the stadium and we can see a bit backstage, but that's all.

And FYI, the set in itself was one of the first things finished at WDS. Then training took months. So the fact that it looks ready to open doesn't mean much. It will probably soft open for one month in April, but I doubt it will open before.

Is the stadium in Florida the exact same as the one in Paris? I couldn't get over how big the Paris stadium was. Also, will they do the same thing where they have 2 roving reporters walking around the stands talking to guests (in Paris they had one English speaking and one French speaking host/hostess -- who were each projected onto the big screens up front)? I can't remember specifics but remember they were there.

Hey guys...I don't come here as often so I'm not in the loop...I know the Lights Camera Motors show is at MGM...but someone mentioned "Soarin'..." Will that be also placed somewhere in WDW? If so, when?

And are both attractions opening on May 1?
