EPCOT Light Up Ears “Synced” with Spaceship Earth

I figured everyone here would enjoy this. I found these light up ears on Etsy last year. I had a hat embroidered with the retro EPCOT Center logo and worked with the Etsy shop to make a Spaceship Earth version of the ears. My goal was to recreate the EPCOT Anthem points of light show on the ears and someday get a video of the two synced up. After hours of work on the look and the timing last month I was at EPCOT and finally got this video!

If I had just hit the button a second earlier the sync would have been perfect.

It's a shame the Glow with The Show ears never made a comeback...I have at least 2 sets of ears and the Mickey light Wand..Imagine what it could have been if the ears synced with beacons for the 50th..Anyone know if anything still works with them lately?

I need to take them to Fantasmic or something someday. I doubt that they spent the time/money to remove the hardware (and there’s a small chance that some of the stuff they still use could use the same cues even), but it’s probably pretty unlikely that it’ll still work.

Sad that they stopped the Glow with the Show line, because there’s so much stuff today that would be AWESOME with it!

Thank You!! I also recreated the 40th anniversary show in case they were playing that one too. Maybe next time.
