Light Magic? Anyone know info about this?

I just read a lot of information about a 1997 Disneyland show called Light Magic. I can honsetly say I have never heard of this at all before. I read it took the place of the Main Street Electrical Parade. Doesn anyone know information or know where I can see pictures of this?

the flop

i have always heard that light magic was disney't major flop of a parade. i never had the chance to see it, but most everyone will tell you that it was a disney disaster? it is even listed in the disney trivia game 2 as being the worst rated parade in magic disney history - or something like that? this could be why you never heard of it...

Jim Hill wrote a fantastic history of Light Magic.
Check his web site's archives.

That parade could have been the best ever...should have been.

you can hear that music on one of the DL/WDW "official album" cd's. its really cool. i too also found the JHM article on LM intresting. its REALLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYY LONG tho

Light Magic was not a bad SHOW, but it was set up as a parade and that set it up for problems. Over all this is one of my fav things since Fantasmic! to happen to DL. If you read Jim Hills stuff that will give you a great idea of what it was and what it should have been. I was there on that first night that ended up killing it, and I have to say that it had some great things going for it. BUT the main thing it didn't have going for it were APer's, but check out www.jimhillmedia.com for the great story.

If the music is any indication of how great this show could have been I would have loved to seen it. Too bad it wasn't reworked or something. It's a shame all that hard work went to waste.
