Liberty Square Riverboat hours

On our family's most recent trip to WDW we made the mistake of waiting too late to ride the Liberty Belle (closed at dusk). My question...is the ride always closed at dusk or does it operate later during seasonal times? I distinctly remember from a past trip being able to take a ride at night time. We really enjoyed seeing the log cabin on fire and such at night. Like other attractions, it takes on a different feel in the evening hours. Thanks for the help in advance.

I don't really remember it moving at night. I just remember seeing it sitting at the dock all lit up. Unfortunately the burning cabin doesn't work anymore. Neither does the windmill. There isn't much to see on the riverboat as it is, but now there really isn't much. Still a neat thing to ride IMO.

I rode the Liberty Belle at night during my visit this past Labor Day weekend. I'm not sure if they extend the hours for the entire summer or just for peak days but they do still operate it at night at certain times.

But as an FYI, the cabin no longer burns.
