I greatly enjoy pin trading! Do you? If so, do you try and collect a certain theme of pins or just go with whatever you think looks good? Do you have a favorite pin? If so, please share a picture :)

The first year I went was in '08 on our honeymoon and collected all of the black and white mickey pins that I could find.

I used to do it, and I probably have 25-35 pins. Did it for about 3 or 4 years, but then I realized how expensive it was getting and how I never used them except at Disney World.

When I did do it I just got whatever pin I liked. My favorite one is the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" pin that has fireworks that light up. I believe it was from 2005, but not sure.

Pin collecting is one of my favorite things to do that involves Disney. I like to collect ToT of HM pins. I also have a Disneyana book and try to find some of the older ones from there on ebay. I'm not much a trader though, I only buy ones that I want to keep. My obsession started in 2000 when I went on a cruise and my dad bought me a pin. Since then, he made a deal to buy me one for every day we've spent in Disney. I don't think he realized how many times we would vacation there, but I still hold him to that deal!

I started collecting back in `08 as well, it all started when a friend of mine gifted me my first pin as a thankyou and from then on I was hooked. I believe I have somewhere near 80 pins that I display on lanyards and in pin books that I made.
I typically collect Figment, Nightmare Before Chrismas, and Villians. I do not have one absolute favorite but I do have many that I like more than others.

I collect. I do not trade anything but accidental duplicates. Trading in the parks, with the Disney staff, is for people who don't actually care about pins. I take my pins kind of seriously. Possibly too seriously.

I have many, many pins. I just buy whatever suits my fancy. I never get bogus pins. I have to stay at the hotel if I want to get the pin. If I'm not at WDW for, say, Easter, I don't get Easter pins. These are just rules for me. I don't think anyone else should follow them. :)

I refuse to buy Tinkerbelle pins because I really don't like her. This has messed up the completion of more than one set of pins...like the lunch box ones.

My favorite pins (for the most part) are my IASW pins...but there are plenty of others I love.

Have over 150 pins, and my favorite is a sorcerer Mickey pin with a bottle of pixie dust! A picture will be on its way!

I collect pins, but we mostly do it as a fun scavenger hunt in the parks. I limit myself to buying 2 or 3 new ones per visit, and those are usually ride or resort themed (and I follow the same rule - if I don't stay there or attend the event, I can't have the pin). We display our pins on a corkboard that hangs on our kitchen wall. Most of them are either Star Wars, rides, villains, or Pixar characters. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I'd say my Backstage Magic pin, because it isn't one that you can go buy.

I started collecting back in '05 after years of proclaiming "I don't get it!" My first pin was a HM/NBC pin... I "got it" the minute I pinned it to my first lanyard. I rarely trade, just purchase what I like. The bulk of my collection are Haunted Mansion, Figment and Epcot pins. Though I do not limit myself to those categories. If a pin is calling my name I buy it! lol

I have hundreds of pins. I just got the entire family into trading. My favorite set of pins are all of the princes dancing with their princesses. It has taken me quite a few years to put together. I still need Tiana and Naveen (their pin together is too big for my lanyard), Rapunzel and Eugene, and Merida and.....well.....me I guess. ;-)

When did they start putting little silver mickey emblems on all the pins?
My pins were all bought back in the '80s and '90s and none of them have that.

I collect things I like. I have quite a few POTC, Splash and Haunted Mansion pins from both WDW and Disneyland.

And a few cool resort pins from the places I have stayed, as well as some nifty Alice, Cheshire cat and Jafar pins.

I love pins but only my kids trade. I would but my husband thinks i have a "Disney Problem". I think I'm going to start trading next year when we go back... screw him. :p

This is my favorite. It reminds me of when we went in 2006 and my son was 4 and I took him on the HM and he was sooooooo scared. I had to cover his eyes and sing Hakuna Matata through the whole ride. :)

I collect not only Disney pins, but pins from anywhere I go. I never trade, I only buy the pins that I really like. I make sure to get one for the hotel we say at, and atleast one with the year. I don't have one particular type of pin I get, just whatever looks cool or interesting at the time. I have all my Disney pins displayed on two big pieces of felt, I have close to 100 and I've been collecting them since 2000. I also have two big pieces of felt for my other pins from all over the world. People know to either buy me a pin or a shot glass from their trips to add to my collections.
