ok, so marisa and I are planning our first trip to disneyland paris. i was just curious how many days we should spend there, as well as any other suggestions anyone might have (such as when to go, where to stay - what not to miss and what TO miss).

we're going to be staying with friends in london for a week before - so also information on transportation to disney would be helpful...

i've heard mixed reviews of DLP, but we're both pretty excited to go. we've been to both DL and WDW several times, but this will be brand new for both of us :)

I would spend at least 4 days in Paris and one or two days for DLP :animwink:

I thought Paris was such a beautiful and elegant city! Loved it! Getting to DLP could be a looong trip. We did everything by metro, but there are buses that take you right there from Charles de Gaulle airport. I´m assuming that the same applies for the hotels.

I would stay at the Disney hotels because they are closer to DLP...you know, you are out of Paris, so going back to Paris could take a looooong time!

I can´t tell you how DLP is b/c I didn´t go.... I just visited their version of Downtown Disney and didn´t like it... I preferred to see Paris when I was there, and then I continued to Italy.... but if u have questions about the metro in Paris.... I could answer quite a few! lol :D

Wow..lucky you...I havnt been to DLP in YEARS...

It is in my opinion the prettiest of all the parks (Phanom Mannor is the perfect example)...

I would spend at LEAST 2 days there so you can take it all in...

You will love DLP!!!! :)

I would suggest you need at least 3 days for the Magic Kingdom, and 2 days for the new Studios park that opens in March 2002. Park hopping is allowed, so I would recommend a 5 day stay at DLP.

Disney also have organised tours of Paris that depart from the Resorts, so you could base yourself at Disney and do the parks and the city.

Definately stay in a Disney resort - they are all within walking distance to both parks.

Make sure you go after March 2002 - as the Studios opens then, and you will definately want to see that.

Getting there from London is very easy. I would go for the Channel Tunnel, called Eurostar. Its a train that takes you under the sea to France, and drops you off right at the entry to DLP. If you dont fancy that you could also fly from Heathrow to Charles de Gaul, and then take a shuttle bus to the park (about 1.5 hour flight, and 1hour drive). I personally prefer the tunnel. :)

If you have any specific questions - let me know!

When you are going after march 16th i recommend a 4 day stay.

Like WDWmagic say's a three day visit to Magic Kingdom. I don't think you can spend two days at Walt Disney Studio's. Iwould recommend a stay in the Disneyland hotel, because it'snear the entrances of both parks. If you are on a lower budget i would recommend New Port Bay.

In Magic Kingdom you must visit Space Mountain and Phantom Manor.

My favourite hotels are the Cheyenne and Hotel New York (Cheyenne is more for kids though).

DLP is in my opinion the best park (except maybe DL for being the original) because it is more detailed and very different (no Tomorrowland, no Jungle Cruise but really cool islands instead, a labyrinth, big impressive Big Thunder Mountain rather than a small cramped one AND all the thrill rides are 30% faster).
I have done the DLP-Paris thing before and it worked really well.

I recommend Pirates of the Carribean I cannot remember everything about it as I have not been for awhile but it is a million times better than DL or WDW.

Have fun

I would say put one day aside for the Walt Disney Studios Park, its not that big and will easily be done in one day. Give at least 2 days for Disneyland Paris Park, you will be able to park hopp anyway.

To get into the centre of Paris will only take you about 35 mins from the Resort to the Champs Elysee by metro.

There are coaches from the airport to the resort, every 30 mins I think, and they drop you off at the resort hotel.

The posting above had the best idea, take the Eurostar train direct from London to the Disneyland Paris. It's so easy and lot less hassle than flying!

Have fun!!
