Leaving a car at the park

I am trying to figure out our scheduling and ran across a question I never thought about.

We are planning on going to HS. We always drive ourselves because at the end of the night I am not in the mood to be on the bus. I'll usually use the buses, boats, and monorails to get from park to park but I just never take them from the hotel to the park.

So my question is - so far it looks like Oct 29th that HS is closing early. We are planning on doing the 7:30 fantasmic and then taking the boat over to World Showcase to catch the 10:00 illuminations. Which means by the time we finish there, HS will be long closed. How would we get back to our car if its still in the lot there? Anyone encountered leaving a car at a park well past closing time? Will the bus take us back there? What about the boat? Just curious because I never really thought that part through.

Following, it's my one worry if we decide to hop another park because of boredom.

You will have a way back by the boats for sure from the Port of Entry and take it and get off at the HS stop. Also we have had a bus take us well after close to another closed park to our car as well. DISNEY WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU STRANDED! Lol
But if at Epcot I would use the boats to get back. The boats run at Port of Entry up to 1hr-1.5 hours after closing time at Epcot. Also if they stop running before you get to them you can just walk from out of the POE exit to HS.

Sounds good. I just didnt know if the bus would go to an empty parking lot for just a handful of ppl.

I cant picture where the boat stop is for HS. Would it be feasible for two of us to run and grab the cars from the parking lot and swing back to grab the older people in the group?

Yes they will even bring just one person (took just me and the hubby) if they have to to an empty parking lot but you probably won't have to do that. The boat will drop y'all off at the HS boat dock so no need to go grab the car and come back for the older folks. The boat runs 1-1.5 hours after closing at Epcot at the WS Port of Entry exit. It's right after you walk out to the left. Also when coming to Epcot from HS you can walk, take the boat, or take a bus to Epcot. Being you want to go to WS I would just take the boat over or walk since it will bring you right to the WS POE entrance.

One thing to be aware of, after Studios closes the boats may stop running to the Studios dock after the park is declared clear. They may only go as far as Swolphin. But you could walk from there (or from Boardwalk, which is prob faster)

I agree with the boats. Plus you will not have to trek as far to the bus stops (at epcot). The boat dock is very close to HS entrance, when leaving stay to the left and go down the hill. You will be going in the back entrance to Epcot right at the lake/lagoon.
