Le Cellier Reception

We are in the infancy stages of planning our Disney Wedding. Since we are going to be having so few guests (12 total) we have decided to go with the Escape Package. Since this does not include a reception, we would like to plan our own at Le Cellier. Does anyone know offhand if they will allow for a small reception? If not can we simply get away with it by reserving a table for a group of 14? Thanks! =)

You would have to contact Disney about having a small reception.

You can defenatly reserve a table for a group of 14 - although there is a good chance that you will be split up into two tables.

We had our "Reception Dinner" at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom. It was a blast. About an hour before our reservations (as soon as we got into the park) my new husband and I went to the check-in desk and explained that our upcoming reservation was to celebrate and we asked to have our tables next to each other. We had a group of 18 so knew we could not be at one table.

When our reservation time came up they had two big tables right next to each other all set up with streamers and mickey confetti.

Just remember that you will not be allowed to wear you wedding attire into the park (unless the wedding planner can set up an official reception for you in which case I don't know what the rules are). For our group my mom had t-shirts specially printed for the whole group. White with "Bride" on the back for me, black with "Groom" on the back for DH and purple for everyone else. The fronts said Jessica and David, Just Married September 1, 2007, Walt Disney World (or something like that).

Two other quick things about planning your wedding at Disney.

1.) If it is at all possible do the castle portrait sesson. It is well worth it.
2.) If you will be staying on site for your honeymoon and will be having sit down dinners have the Groom make reservations. When we got to one of our resturants they had printed special menus for us as souvineers however I had made the reservations so they said "Mr and Mrs (my maden name)" We had a good laugh over it at least.
