Well folks, starting on jan 16th,as most of you may already know. Its 2 credits for lunch in Canada. Question is how many of you lovers of this popular restaurant are willing to use your two precious credits.? I had a wee peek at the menu and I must admit it did tickle my fancy. They even do "Carpaccio of Wagyu " and sides like Lobster mac & cheese, and lots more.So is it a Yay or a Nay? P.S. Just incase anyone is not sure what C.O.W. its beef cattle fed on beer ( Kirin ) and organic goodies, then the cow gets a massage. And Carpaccio should be extremely thin cut slices of meat, almost raw and bright red in colour.( named after the artist who always used red in his paintings ) See,we all learning on this site.Oops sorry, but to your answers. Will you use your two credits or pay up front.?;)

I will but I will pay out of pocket instead of using my precious credits! On another note, isn't that meat kinda like Kobi beef?

Since I haven't used DDP for ears, it's a moot point.

But I certainly will continue eating at Le Cellier! Excellent food and with TiW the price is reasonable.

It's interesting to see people are still willing to dine here but not using meal plan credits. I suspect revenue for this place will be cash or card now days. I myself never bother with the Dining Plans usually although will be getting the quick service plan next time since it was included for free with my package from Virgin Holidays. So my plan is to use the quick service credits for meals at Breakfast/Dinner and book a table service Restaurant during lunch hours. My snack credits will be saved for Food & Wine Festival. But to get back to topic yes I will be spending out of hand to dine at Le Cellier and I'm really looking forward to see what the fuss is all about here. The cheese soup is high on my list but might pick that up from the kiosk.

You know how I feel about using 2 TS credits to begin with LOL I honestly don't think any restaurant is worth 2 TS credits per person (however, if someone were to get free dining and upgraded to Deluxe... maybe) Whenever we do Signature Restaurants, we pay OOP, Le Cellier being one of them. Secondly as crazy as this sounds, during our 25 or so trips to Disney, I have never used a TS for lunch (we have done Dine with an Imagineer but that was a seperate ticket) We always seem to use TS credits for a later breakfast or dinner. (Funny, I just realized that now) I guess Im just a creature of habit :)

Le Cellier's is a tradition for us. While I don't agree with it being a 2 credit table service, we plan on eating at Planet Hollywood the night we arrive anyway. A meal voucher for 15% off from PH comes in the magic your way plus dining package so we pay cash for that meal (it's not that expensive anyway, we just love the atmosphere). This leaves us with an extra table service so it works out for us!

I won't be using two table service credits for Le Cellier. I will miss the one credit lunch and the maudite:(
If I am going to pay out of pocket it will be at the Brown Derby for steak!

I don't do the dining plan and I no longer plan to go here and eat ever again. They pulled the burger off the menu so I am not interested.

Same here. We were planning to go. But no burger? And the price of everything on the menu? Maybe I need to drink my way around the world, and forget I'm at an amusement park and not a great steak house for those prices. Glad we had the opportunity, but won't be back.

We do the same thing. We eat there, cause your right, it's not that expensive and the atmosphere is fun, and we save a dining credit for somewhere to use.

It used to be one of our favorites...but over the years the quality and service went down as the crowds went up. Even if it was high on our must do list...I'd pay out of pocket for my meal before I used two credits...if we were on the DDP.

Wont ever go back, 40 bucks a person at lunch is ludicrous and a ripoff.

Probably not, the best thing I had there was the cheese soup and the bread sticks. I can make a better version of the soup at home and get pretzel bread sticks from a bakery near my house too. Plus the hassle of trying to get an ADR for it isn't really worth it.
