Laundry facilities at the Contemporary?

I can't seem to find this info anywere but I'm wondering if there are laundry facilities at the Contemp.

Anyone know?

And if so, how much per load? I'm assuming you can also buy those overly priced single use detergent thingys there too .... right?

There are coin operated laundry machines located in the north and south garden wings. Additionally, dry cleaning services are available for a fee. The washing machine costs $1.00, as does the dryer. There is a small TV in the South Wing Laundry Room

The machines are only a dollar? When I was at Port Orleans and the Polynesian the machines are 2 dollars each (washer and dryer).

They also sold the single use detergent for 1.00 a box. If you can though, go to a Publix and pick up detergent, it is much cheaper.

Yeah, $2 bucks at POR, $1.50 at the Dolphin, $1 that seems very reasonable???

If you don't have a car in Orlando, remember to bring detergent tablets with you. (I figured they were safer than trying to bring white powder in a ziploc bag.)

They don't weigh much or take up much space.

You'll be glad you did.

The washers at Wilderness Lodge were front loaders that took about 2 Tablespoons of detergent. The box from the vending machine was good for 4 loads.
