Late Sept slow enough to ignore Early Entry??

I'm working on a tentative schedule for my upcoming trip (last week of Sept) and just trying to figure out which parks to put on which day based factors such as Spectro is only on certain days and stuff like that. I am also trying to accomodate my travel companions request that MK be the first and last thing we do as well as AK being the last of the four parks we hit. She's flexible on these, but I want to accomodate them if possible. I was also trying to schedule morning events based on Early Entry schedules, and trying to get it all to work out right and take advantage of EE is proving harder than I anticipated.

So, my question. I've heard that late Sept is generally a slower time at WDW. But is it slow enough that EE is not THAT much of a necessity? Or should I still try to work one or two of them into the schedule?

Yes, late September is very slow. I would avoid early entry. I will just make you more tired and you get to see all the attractions anyway. I've go every year in September specificly because of the low crowds.

I even go so far as to purposely not go to parks on their ee days (they will usually be the most crowded on those days, which defeats the purpose of going off season)

It depends on how large, or, more specificly, how mobile your party is.

A great way to see the major attractions at the MK is to get there on early-entry days, bang out all the major stuff (for me, that's Pirates/Haunted/Splash/SnowWhite/PeterPan/Pooh/SpaceMtn/Buzz) and get out of dodge (or, the MK) by late-morning and depart for another park.

I'm planning a trip around the same time, and my plan is to hit the MK on early entry day like that, and then head over to AK. I'll still plan an additional full day at the MK, but that way I get to do a full round of the major attractions and take advantage of Early Entry without falling prey to it. :)

We've gone in Sept several times and it is slow. That said, we try and hit one EMH each visit. Since the park hours are shorter during the fall, that exta hour can benefit your touring plans. I agree with the other posters in that you should hit EMH and at mid morning get out before it gets crowded...(Although, come to think about it, AK never got too busy, even with EMH.)

Good luck with your plans. Let us know if you have any more ????? :)
