Late checkout?

How late would we be able to checkout at WL and would I have to pay extra? I want to make reservations for Sanaa on our last day around 5 pm. Maybe spend a leisure day at WL swimming and hoping to go back to the room to shower and get ready for dinner. If I'm able to do this when do I need to make this request?

I would check with disney reservations or the front desk at check-in. If the resort is not full, you may be able to request late check-out that morning, however this seems to rarely be available anymore. I have heard at some resorts you can request a noon or 1:00 check out without an additional charge, just depending on mousekeeping and the availability of the room. I think requesting anything later than that, a full additional night would be charged but I would definitely call and ask. The best recommendation would be just having the bell desk hold your luggage. Good luck, I hope it works out for you and your family :)

OP wants to use the pool and then shower before dinner, so just storing their bags isn't enough.

They still have access to the pool, as they are considered a resort guest until midnight of their checkout day, but I don't believe the laundry/locker building has a shower.

I think maybe we will just have a quick breakfast at the resort that way if we can stay until 1pm we can enjoy the pool early, shower and checkout. I can just switch a breakfast ADR to another day. Thanks everyone!

Ohhh yes I forgot that, if it's slower and they are not sold out makes a big difference, it's our slow season and we "bend" a lot more than we would say in June.

If the problem is that you want to use a shower, then might I suggest that you leave what you need to with the front desk services and then go to Villa. I believe there are showers in the rest rooms near Sturdy Branches available. Someone correct me if I am wrong please.

The deal with late check out is this (and I do this almost every time we stay at a deluxe). You can almost always get noon checkout by calling in the morning of your check out day. I've never been refused in over 25 requests. If you want a 1pm check out, you need to call as soon as mousekeeping opens which is 6 am and request it. Rooms like those at the BC are great because they have phones in them so if you have a spouse or kids you don't want to wake up early, go in the bathroom, press 0 and ask to be connected to mousekeepin, and then request a 1pm check out. I've never been refused when doing that, I have been refused 1pm checkout when calling later than 9 am. If you want something later you'll need to pay for it, usually half a day's rate or more, which isn't worth it imo.

This is exactly correct and what I would do in that situation.

I got the flu once and wanted to stay in the room until 3:30 or 4:00. Nope! They charged me an entire extra night and I had to go to the desk to arrange it.
