Last minute trip

We booked our trip only 40 days out so its been very hard to make reservations. We're still trying to get into Chef Mickey, any suggestions?

Just keep trying every day, right up until the day of. Since some restaurants, like Chef Mickeys, has the credit card guarantee policy, you may luck out within the last few days as people cancel their reservations.

Exactly what I was going to suggest LOL. Even if, before you leave for vacation, if there are no availabilities, you can always check DURING your stay. Ask the concierge to check for you each morning, it sure can't hurt. Best of luck!

Try every early A.M., lunch time, and evening AND don't give up! Openings magically (pun intended) appear if you keep checking....we grabbed an impossible Liberty Tree 2 weeks out for Thanksgiving day '10 using this approach.

Stalk the website. It gets pretty frustrating, but things really tend to pop up in those last few weeks. I've been known to check upwards of 100x per day if it's a must have meal.

Yep, I'm so excited. We're eating at The Garden Grill as well, I love Chip and Dale and this will our first time trying it.

Yay congrats, I've been trying to get Ohana's on my first night stay from any times between 5-7pm...no luck. So I had to book it midweek at 8. I'm trying The Garden Grill also, let me know how it is!

It took me two weeks to finally get all of the places we wanted. I wasn't even specific about times and days when I was trying. I literally was asking for anytime and anytime during our stay.

I just booked a trip on 10/6 arriving 10/29. Luckily everything worked
I anticipated it and booked 'Ohana every Friday for about 6 weeks at the 180 day mark and canceled the ones I can't use. Just had to wait for dh to say "go".
