Land/Sea Trip Questions

Hi All.

I have been to WDW many times, but have never stayed on site before or gone on a cruise so I was wondering if anyone could answer these questions that I have.. I booked my trip through a travel agency and my TA is on vacation and my trip is the end of this month, so I'm getting a little nervous...

I'm doing the Land/Sea cruise, WDW first, Wonder 2nd, included air and transport...

Here are my questions:

1. I heard that once I drop off my luggage at my home airport, it will make it's way magically from airport checkin to shuttle to hotel to cruise and back to airport checkin - is this accurate? (Hubby will be so please to not have to lug my bags around everywhere we go.)

2. I heard that there is a special morning visit for cruisers to AK on the last morning, and you can leave for the cruise from there. Is this true? Does it cost extra? Do you have to sign up in advance?

3. Is there any restaurant that is mediocre (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) and not worth going to that I should sacrifice for the adults only restaurant?

I think that is it for now. Any help would be appreciated! (Or if you have any other suggestions...)

Thanks all!

I can answer a couple of your questions. If you put on the luggage tags on your suitcase and get them to the airport they will be put into your room at Disney World and also they will be in your room on the ship. The one and only time we went on the cruise everything concerning our luggage went very smoothly!
Animal Kingdom was not an option when we went on our cruise, so I can't help you out with that question.
All of the restaurants were great. If you choose to skip a meal to eat at Palos, make sure you don't skip your time in the Animators Palate. It is by far the best of the bunch, in my opinion.
Have a great time on your cruise!

yes DON'T skip animators palate!!! i would skip Parrot Cay because it's in the back of the ship (a little bumpy) and there isn't anything special there....

oh, the yellow tags....make sure they are NOT on your bags when you go home, otherwise the bags won't go home with u

i have no idea about the AK thing....i did the cruise twice and i don't know what that is...

well, have fun!!

Yes to all the above. Your bags will disappear and reappear like magic, I wonder (Sorry, disney humor) Disney wants you to relax. You may leave from AK. And the food just keeps coming. Don't forget room service, its part of the deal. If your man gets lost he will be at the ESPN bar probably with me. There is more stuff to do then you have time for. I hope you like coffee!

I didn´t do the Wonder, I did the Magic and our suitcases got lost for about an hour after we left Port Canaveral. It was a nightmare! All of our neighbors on the balconies knew about it! That was the funny note! We went out on the balcony and asked the ones around us if they got their suitcases and they all did!

Finally, we remembered that we were upgraded at check in so we sent the bell boy to our previous room number and the suitcases were there! Duh us! :brick: :animwink:

We went out on the balcony and told the neighbors! One of them ended up spending many hours with us! :animwink:

As for the restaurants, if they are the smae as in the Magic, I would skip Parrot Cay too, it was too bumpy. Luckily, we had it on our first night, then the "ballroom" (can´t remember the name) and then Animator´s Palette, so our schedule was perfect! :animwink:
