Lake Suites/Palms Hotel/HoJo Enchanted Land

I have been reading user reviews about the following hotels, but we all know that some people exaggerate and whatnot. I want to know if anyone has been to these hotels and how did was your stay there?

• Lake Suites Hotel
• The Palms Hotel (Lexington)
• Howard Johnson Enchanted Land

I stayed at this HoJo and all was fine other than one day we came back to find the maid had left our door ajar, not closed it properly.
Potentially could have been disastrous if anyone had gotten in.

But other than that, it was a nice place to stay on a budget I thought....

Last year we had reservations at the Lake Suites Hotel.. We arrived, got our room, turned around and left. This place has changed hands many times in the last year or so.. Used to be "Mainstay Suites Lakeside", then was taken over by Lexington and called "Palms Suites Lakeside", and most recently "Lake Suites Hotel". Reason we left was that our room was smelly, dirty, etc.. My wife was 4 months pregnant at the time and they had no other rooms available.. I will say that they were in the middle of rehabs, and by now, they may have their act together. I since have found www.palominosuites.com and have been very happy with them.. They are close to Disney and very reasonably priced. You don't need to give them a deposit for the room, and I have found that if you check as your vacation gets closer, you may be able to book a better rate and just cancel the original. Example, I originally had a reservation for 99.00 a night Feb17-26, and just rebooked and saved 10.00 a night..

Good luck!!! Believe me, I know how aggravating finding the right accomodations can be!!
