La nouba, is it a must see

I think that if someone wants to see it, it is a must-see for them!

I don't take people who visit to see it.

Blue Man Group is my #1, Got To See This, fantastic, entertaining, fun for all show. I take most visitors to that. I take peeps to Hoop Dee Doo sometimes, too. :)

If people want to go to La Nouba, I beg off.

La Nouba is more of an artistic presentation than a rocking good time. It just depends on your personal taste. Most people I know would enjoy Blue Man Group more.

A good friend of mine who goes to Vegas a lot and just loves Cirque shows was disappointed with ours and told me not to give up on them, but to see one or two in Vegas, as those are much better.

For whatever that is worth. :)

We've seen it and it was great, DW purchased the DVD and we will look at it from time to time. As stated, if you love the format or have never seen the performance than yes I would make it a must see.

I get a la Nouba ticket as part of my package, and am looking forward to comparing it to all the Cirque shows I've seen in Vegas.

Since I'm staying at Uni for two nights before checking in at Disney, I'm going to fit in Blue Man Group one if those nights. Especially since it is changed a bit since the last time I've seen it.

I saw it once many many years ago. I probably wouldn't mind seeing it again but at the same time, it isn't a must. I wouldn't see it again and again, but I'm glad you love it :). I like the Cirque shows in general. Honestly, for that l, I'd rather go to Las Vegas to see all the shows there... My favorite is Ka, though Love was very cool, and O is on my do to list.

O is fantastic, as is Mystere.
I also really enjoyed Love and Ka.

I enjoyed La Nouba, but I wouldn't see it again unless I was with someone who wanted to go.
I would see Blue Man Group again in a heartbeat, though. I've seen them in Boston and Orlando and both were amazing.

It completely depends on where you are from and if you have seen a live Cirque du Soleil show -- if you go to Vegas or live in cities where Cirque frequently brings their show in the portable big top, then its not so necessary. If you live in a place where you can't see them live, then I would certainly highly recommend it.
I've seen it, I loved it. It compares pretty much to all of their other "standard" shows (i.e. those that don't involve water or movable walls)

Anyone know if Blue Man Group show in Orlando is different to the one in Vegas? Or if they have changed the show at all in the past 3 years.

I saw Blue Man Group in Orlando and Vegas. I didn't think either one was great. Just okay. I've seen 10 different Cirque shows. I enjoyed all of them better than Blue Man and its not even close for me. We go see Lanouba every year. It's my second favorite of the cirque shows I've seen

Did you think the Vegas ones were better than the Orlando one?

I believe the show in Orlando at least has changed a bit recently. I remember for sure reading that the ending has changed.

Before that, it was pretty much the same between Vegas and Orlando.

I've seen most of the Cirque shows in Las Vegas and many touring Cirques as well as La Nouba. While I'm glad I saw La Nouba and enjoyed it, my DH and I just didn't think it lived up to many of the other Cirques. It was missing a little of the major WOW factor some of the other shows offer. I would still recommend it to others though.

Yes, without a doubt in my mind. My family (we are not gamblers in any way shape or form) actually found Las Vegas to be a great fun town to visit... so much more to do than you think. But I digress... Back to your question, I would echo what @Pooh Lover said. It is very nice, but yeah, that "wow" factor isn't there quite like most of the other Cirque shows that I've seen. I would say the ones in Vegas have a better "production value"... costumes, sets, even performances seem just a bit more amped up. It's not really surprising when you think about it, given that there are multiple Cirque shows in Las Vegas so they all have to compete with each other to draw in audiences. La Nouba doesn't have to do that, and I think that lack of competition is reflected in the show. I too would still recommend it as something fun and different to do at Disney, but if someone asked me where to see the best, I'd say head to Nevada (and I'd also recommend Mandalay Bay as a great place to stay on the strip).

So in simple terms... La Nouba is good but there are better.

Okay! Thanks, peeps! You guys, combined with my Vegas-loving friend, have convinced me to give Cirque another try in Vegas this winter.

Now, which show to see...(just not the sex one.)

I must see Divas Las Vegas, too. Sadly, none of the men in my family want to go with me, so I will have to find a way to force an adult child to attend with me...even though I've already heard, "No way, mom. Un-uhn. I'm not going. I don't care!! No! Well, then, you have to go by yourself! No!"

I'm sure ill think of something. :D

I liked "O" better than La Nouba. If I were to rank them......

1. "O"
2. La Nouba
3. Mystere
4. Zarkana
5. KA
6. Love
7. Zumanity
8. MJ One
9. Elvis (no longer there)
10.Believe (worse one by far)

I saw Allegria, one of their traveling shows and it was excellent. I'd rank it 7 out of all the ones I've seen. The permanent shows are usually better than the traveling ones.
