All aboard! Join The Studio Chapter for a fun day at Griffith Park for its next meeting on March 16th. We’re heading down the road from our usual meeting location at the Autry Museum to pay a visit to Walt’s Barn at the L.A. Live Steamers. We’ll have a chance to tour the barn and learn more about Walt’s love of trains and the little railroad that helped to inspire Disneyland, see an exhibit of real steam-powered equipment, and enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Live Steamers while having some refreshments. If you’d like to have some big fun on a small train, free rides on the Live Steamers’ miniature trains are available just a short walk away from Walt’s Barn. After visiting Walt’s Barn, we’ll take a short drive to see another inspiration for Disneyland, the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round, where Walt often took his daughters for a Sunday of fun. If you’d like to see some more trains, there are full-size trains on display at Travel Town, also just a few minutes’ drive from Walt‘s Barn. A beautiful day in the park, lots of things to see, and the chance to spend some time with fellow Disney fans - please join us for a fun afternoon!
