KttW at F&W booths???

Hello all!

Long time AP holder but this will be our first time staying on property during Food and Wine. In the past we had just bought one of those gift cards and kept reloading it. Are we able to charge F&W purchases from the pavilion booths on the KttW cards?

:wave:As long as you make sure your KttW card is valid for charging you can use it at all the food stations. We've been going to F&W for years and do it each time. Have fun!!

As long as the register is working correctly you should be able to. Several times at least one of the registers at the booth (and sometimes all of them) weren't taking KttW or credit cards.

The booths use the standard POS machines that are across property. They accept all the forms of payment that accepted elsewhere in the resort including KTTW.

As long as the register is working correctly you should be able to. Several times at least one of the registers at the booth (and sometimes all of them) weren't taking KttW or credit cards.

As a side note, this usually happens because most of the booths are using a secure wireless network for their card transactions, and aren't using wired connections like most registers on-property. If the network is having issues, the registers can't accept cards. This most often happens in bad weather.

Last year while at the Food and Wine Festival, even though my KttW card was linked to my credit card I still used the reloadable F&W card because I hate looking at my credit card statement and seeing 50 different charges all for under $4. I found it much easier just to put a $100 (or whatever amount you are comfortable with) on the F&W card and use that instead. This option also kept us from going too crazy with the purchases. We knew what we wanted to spend and did not go over it.

Typically this is what we do. Sounds like it might be the most fail-proof option (aside from cash) although if systems are down for KttW, I might assume they are down for the reloadable cards too.

I'm not quite following the first part of what you said...

When you open a room charge account, charges aren't put through to your credit card individually. They accumulate until either a) the night before checkout and all charges go through as a single charge, or b) you reach the limit of your room charge account.

The only thing that would show the individual charges would be the folio printout from the hotel. Otherwise it's one large, all-encompassing charge to your credit card.

Yes you are correct that Disney only charges you once for all of your purchases or once you reach your limit..but you still need to add up everything on the folio to make sure everything adds up (my last trip everything did not add up :brick. I would rather put one set amount on a reloadable card using my credit card and know that is how much i am spending..there is nothing to double check or argue about with disney..sorry I didn't explain my self better before
