Kodak Exposition Hall Question

I understand that this will be the new location for mickey and the gang during the fantasyland expansion.

My question is when will they start to convert the Hall for its new purpose. I would like to show my 3 year old the show area that has the old cartoons.

They've already started, the outside areas are now walled up. Not sure if the theater is closed yet or not. If it's not closed yet, chances are it will be very soon.

The walls at the Exposition Hall are for exterior refurb and not for the inside. Behind the 'old time theater' is another theater (The Walt Disney Story) that has plenty of space for a queue and meeting area without disturbing the cartoon area. I think you can still plan on showing it to your kid.
