Kissimmee area schools and apts

We are planning on moving down in July and orginally was looking into the Winter Haven area. After visiting that area this past July we decided that it just wasn't for us and started concentraing on the Kissimmee area. Orginally we wanted to purchase a house and move down but now we are going to sell first and then move. I don't know how fast we will be able to find a house and now we are looking into short term leasing. I want to be in a good school district and really want to stay in the same district when we purchase. The school zones are very confusing to me (not like here) Can anyone reccomend an area that I could hone in on? I have spoken to relators down there but they seem to contradict each other re: areas and schools. I am coming down in November to do more research but any insight you can give me would be great, can't beat first hand knowledge!!!
BTW the kids will be in 2nd grade and a freshman in HS

We are planning on moving down as well as soon as our house sells (quickly please) and have opted on renting short term at The Alexan at Legacy Dunes. Looks to be a very nice complex. My stepson will attend Celebration High School and my two little ones will be attending Reedy Creek Elementary.

School districts in Florida are county controlled. So anywhere you go in Kississmee will be in the Osceola County School District. As for a very good school in Osceola County I can not recommend you one. But this site http://orlandosentinel.greatschools.net/modperl/browse_district/49/fl//?level=e will give you the school's FCAT(Florida's Standardized Testing) score.
