Kiss Goodnight?

Yes, I have known about it for years, but finally heard it for the first time last December. My wife always wants to leave before it would happen, but we took our time leaving and heard it. Well worth it, it's always the small things. Can't wait to hear it again this year.

In general, I've always thought the MK was an even more special place at night. The little touches are so cool. The lighting is awesome as well. Also when Mickey stands up by the rail of the Train Station and tells everyone bye and thanks them for coming. I've seen a great many people teary eyed during the Wishes song on their way back down Main Street as well. On the very last show of Wishes we were sitting next to these people from Canada that had never been to the MK before and didn't realize they were watching the last show of Wishes and we told this young woman, who was probably 25 or so, that she was really in for a treat. So when it ended I looked over to her to ask her how she liked it and she was balling her eyes out. LOL! I don't know what it is but it just does "something" to people. I mean I know it's the "magic" but I don't really know how they achieve it but they do.

And now I'm crying.

I cry every time we walk in. And when we do get the chance to stay at night until closing I cry again. This is why people love Disney. They are masters of magic and these little things are what keep us missing it and coming back.

When I was a kid I'd cry every time we left. Then I became an adult and joined the DVC and spend about 24 days a year at BLT and STILL don't feel like I "get my fill" of it and I agree that it's definitely the little things that keep me dying to get back. When the Mine Train opened my little boy was a little skiddish on his first few rides and me and him always stay late together at the MK while my wife takes our little girl back to BLT to pack for the flight out the next morning. So it was about to close and we were eating some ice cream at Sleepy Hollow and my little boy said "I think I want to ride Snow White one more time" not long after we started eating. So I thought about it for a second and said "Let's throw our ice cream away" and we went and got on it and it was like it all just clicked for him on that ride and all his fear went away and it was so fun to watch that and he probably will never remember that little moment but I'll never forget it and I don't even care that my wife would flip out over the wasted ice cream. LOL!

Dang it..I'm crying again!!!!!
It's the memories that get me. We took my step daughter for her 6th bday almost 9 yrs ago (before fp+ and all that...when you could just GO and not plan for 6 yrs) and we stayed all night until 1 am and we were watching the castle change colors on the Adventureland side by the moat, while everyone was leaving, and she looks at me and says "I've had enough magic for one night" . Poor thing was totally exhausted but hung in there like a champ. I'll always remember that. It was such an innocent moment and it makes you remember that for us it's a vacation but for them it really is REAL. We still feel the magic as adults but not like children do. It was REALLY Cinderella's castle. And Tinkerbell had really flown in over our heads...it was just beautiful to see it through her eyes for a split second.

Yeah the vicarious nature of Disneyworld with your kids is really what makes it such a great place. When my little boy was about 3 he went through this phase of absolutely obsessing over The Lion King because he just adores animals. So one night we were leaving the MK while Wishes was going on to beat the crowds and my wife wanted to stop by the bathroom at City Hall and while we were waiting for her to come out Rafiki walked out and walked right over to my little boy and sat down and watched Wishes with him for the majority of the show. To watch his face light up like that was awesome because it was like he had Rafiki sort of all to himself. I guess where so many people were watching the fireworks they didn't realize a character was there. I seriously had a pretty big frog in my throat watching that little moment. LOL!

You mean that really isn't Tink, wow, my whole life just changed. Next you're going to tell me Santa isn't real.
No...I mean it is her...but for safety reasons...in case her..umm...pixie dust malfunctions...she has a harness...just in case. And sometimes it's her sister or cousin flying bc Peter pan needs her.

Oh good, that's a relief, world restored.

Safety is good and needed. Peter Pans needs do need to come first.
