Pre-Trip Kirk's Birthday Blowout Spectacular (with special guest star Connie?)

I just booked my room only reservations at Pop Century and hope to book my flight today. Am considering Frontier, though there are some really rotten reviews out there. It's so much cheaper than the alternatives, though. We'll see.

Heading down on a Friday afternoon and staying until Wednesday. I'm thinking about spending a day at Universal to see Diagon Alley (haven't made it there, yet). Connie, my frequent travel partner, is pretty sure she's gonna come down and celebrate with me but that is yet to be confirmed.

I'll try to post here often as I make Fastpasses, dining reservations, and just generally get excited about the trip!

Maybe I missed it but where will you be coming from? I mean if you're coming from Atlanta I'd say drive but if you're coming from Chicago I'd say fly.

I'm coming from Cincinnati and I booked the flight around lunch time. This is really happening!

Man, oh man, I'm 46 days out and am getting so excited. My friend Connie IS going with me for most of the trip, which is awesome. We have reservations for Be Our Guest for both breakfast and lunch (on different days) and we're going to visit Universal one day so I can see Diagon Alley for the first time. I've got a giant spreadsheet to plan things (we hardly ever actually follow it but I do love planning the trip) and so I'll share some of my must dos with you in a post soon!

ONE WEEK TO GO! I'm getting very excited. I need to spend some time early next week packing and making sure I have everything I need. Going as minimal as possible this trip - just the essentials. I'm gonna take my new very small and lightweight Chromebook instead of my MacBook Pro so the DSLR photos will have to wait til I get back.

Maybe this week I'll post some of our itinerary just for fun if I get time.
