How/is it possible to request a king bed at AKL?

Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee getting a King bed. Just make sure you book a room type that has the option of one and then add a request to your reservation with a CM that you want a King Room. If you get to check in and they are giving you one without politely ask if there is a King room available also. You may get stuck not having one but usually they can accomadate that request.
