On the ride Kilomanjaro Safari in the Animal Kingdom there is an old bridge you cross over. The first time I went on it, the bridge sort of slanted to my left and it felt like you were falling. I screamed! When I went on it for the second time, the bridge didn't slant at all.

Am I just crazy :hammer:, or am I just wrong. Does anyone know about this??

I'm confused.

Did they change it, or was it maybe an accident.... What do you think??

That's part of the ride--but since they added these little skirts to the front of the cars to beat off animals (sounds mean, but it was to make sure they didn't get run over after "the incident of animal cruelty"), the effect has not worked properly.

Yes, there are a lot of abreviations here, such as

Country Bear Jamboree

Carosel of Progress

You get used to them after a while

When the bridge did the falling thing the first time I rode it, several people screamed, which scared the living hell out of my son & this other little kid. I'm going to have trouble convincing him to ride Safari during our next trip. :brick:

Heading for the great escape.
We were dissapointed that little bit of fun with the bridge was SOOOO Disney. Mind you the fact its not working properly now could be cause its so NEW Disney.

apparently the effect is now back on, the bridge had to be re-configured after the "skirts" were added to the jeeps :D

I cant confirm that though - i just heard it somewhere :D

this effect still does not appear to be operating.

It's usually safe to start a new thread rather than resurrect one that's ten years old.

The effect works, but it has a delay timer. If the truck ahead of you crossed too soon before your truck got there, it won't work. The effect loses it's shock value if you see the truck ahead of you tip over on the bridge... :lookaroun

Wow. The search works better than I thought. It even searches the archives

But really, it's not currently operating, from what I can tell. We were on one of the last Safari's on Friday, so the trucks were spaces out so far we didn't even see another one in the Savanna area. The driver made a big deal about the rickety old bridge, but nothing happened.

If the driver made a big deal, chances are it was working earlier that day...

Last time it worked for me was last year.

I don't know why it works sometimes and not others. The delay timer makes as much sense as anything!
