Kids magic bands functions

This may seem like a silly question, but do kids magic bands function the same way as adults? As far as being able to open the room with it? I have never had the need for our kids to use their card without us. I know they can't charge anything without me adding it to MDE, but am clueless about room entry. My in-laws are going to be watching them during our trip and I wanted to make sure they have access to our room.

Yes. They do. You can limit charging on the kid's bands though, so they can't go on a shopping spree (well, really, you can do this with any of the bands).

My pleasure. My kid got a kick out of using her band to both get us to the atrium level we were staying at in Contemporary, and opening the door.

Her band worked fine.

The Band simply replaces the room key card, and kid's cards have always been able to open the room doors.
