I am considering going on the Keys to the Kingdom tour in the Mk when we come down to visit. My question to all of you who have taken the tour is is it worth the $58? I know its a backlot tour and underground and stuff, includes lunch in liberty square and we do go on 4 or 5 attractions but is the actual tour good?

thanks again!

I would say...Yes, it is worth it....

My wife and I have been on the tour twice and it was even worth the return trip. You only do 2 or 3 attractions, not 4 or 5. Last year we did Jungle Cruise, PotC and HM. This year we didn't do Jungle Cruise.

It's fun and informative and we would do it again.

Check out my trip report (link in my signature) or PM me with any other questions....

Yes! I highly recommend it!

You'll be talking about the magic you discover on the tour everytime you talk about or visit Disney!

Very enjoyable!

Also, I liked the full day Backstage Magic Tour even more! After your "KEYS" tour, you'll be hooked!

HAVE FUN!

I took this tour last year and really enjoyed it. You have to be into WDW, as there is alot of detail involved.

BTW - If you are a passholder, you get a discount on tours.

I've often wondered this too.

When my husband and I go to WDW we are usually only there for 3-4 days. We have a very difficult time fitting in everything that we want to do as it is. So if we spend several hours on a tour and only get to do a few attractions....is it worth it?

Be prepared, it is 5 hours long & can be tiring. Also, I wouldn't recommend it in the very hot months, as in - May thru Oct.
The cost of the tour is in addition to park admission, so if MK is open limited hours you get very little park time for your money.
Just a few considerations.

I took the tour before lunch was provided! And I really enjoyed the tour. You learn a lot about the park and the history! Hope you get to go on it! It is worth the money. My boyfriend and I are going to take it the next time we're there.

IMHO, the tours are designed for people who've been to WDW many times, and are looking for a different experience, or perspective on the parks, their operation and why things were done the way they were done.

Depending on the time of year you go and how late the park is open, you should still be able to ride most of the rides after your tour.

Yup, that us! We have been to WDW 7 times in 7 years - this year will be 8 - and my husband grew up just outside of Anaheim and has been to DL more times than he can count. So getting the inside scoop really appeals to us. We usually travel in the lower season of September when the parks close earlier.

We may just have to visit at another time of year so that we have have time to tour AND have lots of time to play afterwards.

Thanks, Gary!

I totally agree with everyone! Last year when I took the tour it was great. We had a terrific tour leader (I can't remember her name) ... she was wonderful.

Bottom line ... it was definately worth the money.

This year, after being on the mini tour of MK (Keys the the Kingdom), we decided to take the Backstage version. Very excited about that!
