Keeping up the good grades...

Well, I brought home straight B's on my progress report (B's arent the greatest but hey they are still good) And my mom said if I keep up the good work and keep bringing home good grades then on Friday September 17 2004 she will let me skip school and we will drive on up to the parks for a 3 (count it) 3 day weekend at Disneyworld (And Universal)

Woot 3 days of rides :hurl: ( In case anybody didn't get my joke, the Hurl face symbolizes that after 3 days of Theme Parks that is what I will be doing! LOL)

I'm so jealous my progress reports don't come out until the 22nd. Right now all is well but Algebra 2. Stupid class. lol Well I wish I could do that but living in IL it's a little extreme. Oh well. Have fun if you do go!!

Yep....my daughter has been in school since August 10. Mid quarter progress reports come out Monday. They started this "early start date" thing about 8 years ago so that the semester ends and they take their finals right before Christmas break. So when they come back after New Years, they begin new stuff (or new classes). They are on the block system here. Four classes a semester for a total of 8 different classes a year. WONDERFUL to teach on. Breaks up the monotony and you get different students after Christmas. PLUS, you get an hour and a half planning period!

Are you in a year-round school ? I'm guessing since you said drive UP to Disney World that you are in southern Florida. I know that in 1990 when I lived in Volusia County they were talking about going to a year-round system to deal with classroom overcrowding.

Congratulations on the progress report ! Keep up the good work. My problem is that now we live in Ohio and my teenager knows that we already have reservations ! :lol:

Boo47 got her midterm progress reports last night. 5 A's and 1 B. This insures her social life for the time being (LOL). Reports cards and another mid term to follow before we head to WDW in December, but I'm not sweating it. Since she started school, I told her the December trip would be based on her GPA.

Have fun on your 3 day weekend and GOOD JOB!!!!
