Keep an eye on Ernesto

For everyone planning to come to our lovely state, Ernesto is now tracked to make landfall just south of Tampa as a cat 3 and cut across central FL. Almost the same as Charley 2 yrs ago. This may change in the next couple of days though. To keep an eye on things you can go to http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ . Lets hope this thing fizzles out.

Aw man. You know, I just looked at it last night and the forecasts were still projecting more westward and possibly into the Gulf states. Now? It's projections are a bee-line for west central Florida. You know, right where I live.

Bah.

Hopefully this doesn't pan out. Forecasts as we all know are only valid generally a few hours out. More then that and it pulls a Charley and turns at the exact last moment.

Still though. Bah.

Being in Tampa Bay, hurricane forecasts seem even less reliable then to other areas. It's always a last-minute twist or turn of events around here.

I hate when the projections start leaning my way though....

Totally agree, They change direction at EVERY update! we missed Wilma last year because we were at POFQ!!!!

Oh Man, I have family in Pinellas Park and if it makes landfall a little farther south, I have family in Port Charlotte too. I hope this one falls apart!
