For the first time ever my wife and I will be coming to WDW.......KIDS FREE !! We will be down there in 2 weeks and we will be staying at the Grand Floridian. We are very knowledgeable in all the family things to do around WDW, but we are looking for some suggestions for just the two of us. We are only going to be down there for 3 days so we want to make that time count. We do have park tickets with hopper. What can you suggest?

- enjoy an alcoholic beverage while strolling around World Showcase or other locations, if you so desire

You have some difficulty finding reservations at this stage, but I think spending time in downtown disney, err umm, disney springs There's some really nice places to eat there. Epcot, there's so many fine restaurants there and being only two people you may not have issues with seating/waiting.

Definitely a signature dinning experience and a trip to the GF Spa! Maybe some cocktails at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto.

Romantic carriage ride at POR.
Rent a boat at Contemp and cruise bay lake.
Fireworks cruise on Bay Lake.
At DS, do a night time Characters in Flight.
Just walk those dark pathways you find around the parks hand in hand. At MK theres Cinderellas wishing well on the pathway past the castle thats usually isolated to sit by. Or stroll through the pathways of TSI at night. So many romantic places adults can stroll.
We found our first few kidless trips very relaxing and a romantic time of rediscovering our relationship.

We enjoy going to Trader Sam's at the Polynesian Resort. We booked the Painting on de Bayou experience for our next trip at Port Orleans Resort French Quarter. I was wondering if anyone had done it before? It sounds like a great time.

FYI, Tom Sawyer's Island usually closes around 6pm...

Depends on what days you are there but look into the various wine tastings. OKW and AKL have some.
