Just saw Wall*E and...

I believe the early take for this movie will be terrific, yet I have a feeling that the revenue is going to drop quickly. Unlike all the other Pixar movies, this is one that I have no intention of ever seeing again. I know of quite a few others who've seen Wall*E feel the same way.

I wonder how much is at stake behind the scenes in terms of Wall*E exhibits, rides or shows-all based off of the box office numbers.

As you'd expect, Wall*E is pretty heavy-handed with its message and I wonder how that would translate into a show. Personally, I wouldn't mind Wall*E being in a new pavilion in Epcot (Center) showcasing all the latest green technology and methods- but would hate to have him invade the Land pavilion.

What do you think? Think the movie will do well and spawn a number of exhibits at our favorite vacation destination- or will he sink into the obscurity of my beloved Incredibles?

I'm not a Pixar-basher, but I've never been impressed with their timing. All of their films feel too long and heavy-handed.

But I think Wall-E will remain popular for a while.

I know there are like ten different threads for this, but I wanted to say that Wall-E is currently tracking for the biggest single day opening of any Pixar film with 23 million.

Have not checked it out yet but definitely want to go see this. Maybe not this weekend go. Will wait till the crowds die down a bit.

I saw it. I liked it but I cant say I loved it. Its not a Nemo, Incredibles,or a Toy story (which I love they are my favs). However I do think Wall-E and Eve was very cute and it was way better then Ratatouille.

Just got back from seeing the movie - I liked it, but I felt it drags a little. Was going to take my niece & nephew, but I think they would have gotten a little bored. That being said, I will still buy it when it comes out on DVD. Really liked the short at the beginning - had me laughing out loud.

I saw it yesterday and I thought it was just ok, it does drag on in places. The message is powerful, people too big and drinking their meals while riding around it chairs....and never knowing their own enviorment, even in their space world. People didn't know they had a pool for instance, maybe a metaphor for our lack of exercise? And trash everywhere on earth... It would fit well in Epcot as a "think green" exhibit. Kids would be drawn to it because of the characters but once they are hooked it could be a good lesson, IMHO.

actually my boyfriend said the same thing, but comparing it to toy story. I enjoyed it. I thought it was a cute love story but I wouldn't be able to watch it 100 times right after another like i can with Monsters Inc though.
