Hello all,
Just go back from our sixth annual camping trip to Fort Wilderness. Let me start off by saying that we LOVE it there, obviously since we go every January. We camp in a tent for a week, and let me tell you, it was COLD :xmas:. It got down to the 20's at night two nights and in the 30's and 40's the other five nights. BRRRRR!! We were prepared, had good sleeping bags, doubled up in our sweat pants and brought an electric blanket. It didn't dampen our spirits at all.
We were able to see the main pool getting ripped up. They started with the jack hammering about 8 am every morning. Does anyone know what the new pool will look like?
The one thing about Fort Wilderness is that you can always count on hearing plenty of "noise pollution". If it's not the blowers clearing off the sites it's the chain saws. It seems that they are always cutting down trees, always. You'd think that they would run out of trees to cut.
But, as I said, we love it there so it's worth a little noise to enjoy our "winter home".
