Ok guys...I think I may have screwed up. You know how they say to think before you answer? I don't know why but I just blurted out "i would really rather prefer something else" when he asked me if I would want to work quick-food-service/beverage. I probably cut my chances in half right there.

Maybe its just because I'm so nervous. Three weeks seems like an ETERNITY!

Good luck to everyone who interviews! :)

Don't worry...it's good that you said that, I think. From what I've heard, they have so many spots available that a lot of people who say they will do it "as a last resort, if it's the only thing open" seem to get it. Personally, I don't want to work around food. And even though I hate saying "no" or disagreeing, when my recruiter said: "Would you be willing to consider QSF&B if it is the only thing open?" I said no, that is something I really do not want to do. I thought that would have brought my chances down a lot, but I guess not, since I got my acceptance letter just 9 days later for Merchandise. Someone even told me that they may see you as more serious about the program if you don't act like you will do anything to get in no matter what it is. It shows you have thought it through and know what you want (or at least what you don't want). BTW, when I spoke with my interviewer the other day about a different concern I had, she mentioned that I had a great interview, even though I personally thought I did, well, not-so-great. I think we all are very hard on ourselves. Sit back relax, and I'm sure your letter will come soon. :) What roles did you list? And for Fall or Fall Advantage?

Oh cool. :) Well that does make me feel a little better about it. We are hard on ourselves aren't we? I listed Operations, Merchandise, and Hospitality in that order of preference. I also put down Fall. I graduate in May of this year, so I wanted the summer to get some things in order, relax from the burnout, etc, before I went down to Florida.

I don't want to jinx myself, but I feel really good now that I've done my interview. My recruitor said, "Great job, great answers!" to my questions. He was really nice.

Only 9 days? Wow, that was fast! I just can't wait to find out!

Honesty is the best policy. You said you would rather work elsewhere and I am sure the interviewer appreciated your honesty and hopefully it will work to your advantage.

Yeah I wouldnt worry too much about it anyway. They ask everyone that anyway so I wouldnt sweat it. Let us know what position you were offered in the next several weeks.

I have a question... I really want to do this program! I have ever since high school. However, I have one of the most demanding minors at my college and it will be very difficult to find the time to do this. I was wondering if I could do it the semester after I graduate? Or is it no longer considered the Disney College Program then?

Thanks!

That's what I said at my interview, and I wasn't going for the college program! My recruiter was like "Would you like to work in Food Service?" and I was like "No not really" I told her that I know that I would be able to do my best work in Entertainment or in Attractions. I also said that if I was placed in Quick Service I don't think I would be able to show my full potential since i've never worked in food service and I have more experience in entertainment. Honestly, why would you want to work somewhere that you wouldn't be happy? It's good that you said you wouldn't be interested in Quick Service, I commend you for being honest :) My sister also did the same thing!

yup, you can do the program the semester after you graduate.

awesome!!! I too would not be happy in quick serive food... so thanks for letting me know to be honest about that. I would LOVE to be a preformer... seeing as I've taken dance lessons for the last 14 years... however I've never acted or even have taken part in an audition so I would be too nervous... I'd like to be an assistant to the characters or do something to directly work with the kids...

If you wanna talk to guest then assisting the characters would be best, they seem to have alot of fun!
