Just for fun.....how long would you wait in line for a M&G?

We enjoy meeting the different characters and getting pictures and autographs, but for us it is secondary to everything else. We wouldn't wait more than 30-40 minutes for a M&G. We did enjoy the character meals we did back in June, but kinda think of that as killing two birds with one stone. Hey..we gotta eat!
So are you willing to spend much more time in line to meet your favorites or do you think even 30 minutes is cray-cray?

Well, depends on the age/desire of my kids. When we first went, my 3 and 7 yr. olds were amazed, so we did a ton of character meals, and waited up to 30 minutes. Now they are 8 and 11, and neither will wait more than a few minutes, and usually not even that!

10 minutes for a rare character, anybody else I better be the only one there.

Today Duffy took me for a walk as he went on his break, I prefer spontaneous unexpected interactions like this.

Funny, the answer to this question is going to totally depend on how old you are, whether or not you have children, and how old you children are. For example, a 30 year old man visiting the park with his wife probably would walk past a princess M&G. Take that same 30 yr old male with a daughter, age 4, and he would probably wait in line for as long as needed so that his little Princess could meet a Disney Princess. I thank God everyday that I have boys, no offense to parents of little girls. :p

As for myself, I am a mid 30's male with two DSs (ages 4 & 6). We will be visiting Disney next week and will be attending the MNSSHP one evening. Having found out that both Jack Skellington and Sally will be doing a special M&G during the party and knowing that my DS (age 4) is crazy about Jack, for whatever reason, I would be willing to stand in line up to an hour, or more if needed, just so that my DS would have the opportunity to meet Jack. For me it's no so much the M&G but it's more about seeing the look on my DS's face when he get to meet and talk with his favorite character. The things we do for our kids.

On a side note, I plan on getting on line as soon as I can so that I don't have to wait that hour.:D

About the only time we take for Characters is at a Character meal or if we're walking along and see one standing without a bunch of people waiting on them. It's not that important other wise.

We waited 35 minutes (didn't expect it to take that long) for a picture with Minnie Mouse in Toontown Fair. When we finally got to her, our daughter refused to look at the camera!

The cast member handler let us go with a "Oh well, maybe next year..."

We learned after that never to force M&Gs on our kids, and to only do them when they suggest it.

When my daughter was 4 or 5 we waited 45 minutes once in Toontown. We've waited 20-30 minutes a couple of times for the free Disney Visa photo with Mickey & friends at Innoventions. Other than that, we don't do M&Gs any more now that my daughter doesn't care about them.

There were hordes of people at DHS last week who waited hours to meet villains, right? Somehow the M&Gs seem pretty popular with guests, even though everyone on this site seems to want more rides and fewer M&Gs.

My 3 yo DD LOVED the M&G's and didn't cared so much for the rides! Her favorite princess is Tiana so we waited maybe 25 minutes for her.... We finally get to see her and my DD asks "Wait, where's Naveen & Louis?" and walked away looking for them...:banghead::rolleyes: ahhh memories

We also waited (or at least I did while the DD & DH were in cosmic rays) 30 minutes to Merieda.

All of our waits for the M&G's were well worth it for my family as many were the highlights of our vacation!

Normally we would only wait about 15 minutes, no more. On my recent trip my princess crazed best friend made us wait an hour and 20 minutes to meet Jasmine and Aladdin, due to rain they weren't sure if they would be able to come out so we waited and they did come out and it was totally not worth it. Aladdin seemed ed and was rushing people. Actually doing the "moving along" motion with his hands to families. And he had no interest in talking with anyone.

Our max is about five minutes as well. We'll usually meet characters if we're wandering by and they've just come out with no line, or if they beckon us directly.

We used a fast pass to meet Mickey at MK last trip and it took forever. Never again.
