I just checked in and while looking through my Cast Portal it says

WDW_ATTRACT MK TTC GUEST SERVICE TRAINING OJT

Does this mean im at the TTC? Is that the parking lot, I really hope isn't, and if it does is there a way to be trained in something else in conjunction with parking? Maybe an actual attraction?

The TTC is the Transportation and Ticket Center. There's a chance you'll most likely be there then. I'd call to find out! If you're talking about getting trained in attractions, that's a completely different department. When you interviewed and got accepted, what was your hire role?

If it's TTC attractions, then yes, you're parking.

"Operations" covers Attractions, wherease your other options were Custodial, Resorts, or Food/Bev.

Lots of folks want to be attractions, the caveat being that it covers parking.

Two days ago I was accepted for a position in high-spiel attractions. How do I go about linking to the Cast Member portal mentioned here? It would really help me to begin learning "the ropes", lingo, etc. Also, although I am new with Disney, I have a lot of previous work experience. Does every Attractions cast member start at the same wage regardless of work history? I didn't bring that up during my interview, as I did not want to risk my chance of being hired. Thanks!

You need to get a portal ID from Disney first. I'm not sure where you get it exactly, but when I was on my CP I got mine on my first day of work at the hotel from my manager.

You'll have to wait until after Traditions, after that you just go to a Learning Center and they will get you what you need.

As for the pay, you would of had to do that during your interview, plus I doubt that you will get much more than .10 cents for your experience.

To the original poster, yes, that is shorthand for working in Attractions (which parking is under the attractions umbrella) at the Transportation and Ticket Center. You could be doing a variety of things, from helping with parking, greeting guests who enter and leave the center, to manning one of the booths at the front gate for parking. If that is what is on your list, that is what they have planned for you to do. To be completely honest, the position they give you is set, and unfortunately there isn't much flexibility when working in parking.

To the person asking about the portal...you will get your access information about the portal and whatnot during your orientation and Traditions. You'll also find out where you are going to work, which can be a number of places, from the Jungle Cruise, the Backlot Tour, Great Movie Ride, Innoventions (my home!), Living with the Land, and I want to say there is at least one more but I can't put my finger on it.

As for work experience, unfortunately with Disney and the union they tend start everyone off at the same rate, which currently is 6.90. Now you are in a high-spiel attraction, and in some instances you are paid more depending on the work you do, up to a dollar more. Disney is big on seniority and the union, so you pretty much have to start at the bottom and work your way up.

Hope that helps both of you!
