just canceled my park reservation for 1 day but when i try to make a new one wont let me

thankfully after 20 attempts...it worked. grabbed a reservation from epcot to DHS.
The reservation system has flaws!
I booked a reservation last month online for Pop Century with disney tickets and chose our parks to visit. We then cancelled this reservation and bought our tickets at UT and when I went to reserve the parks, it said I already had reservations. The park reservations were NOT cancelled when the resort reservation was cancelled.
This would be a big problem I would think. How many people have cancelled their reservations after making park reservations and those park reservations are still out there. It wasn't showing up on My Experience either.

They’ve corrected this issue. They will now be deleting park reservations where there is no valid ticket.
