Oy!!! That is a lot of people, I just it depends on what everyone in your party likes food wise, but if it were me traveling, especially with children in your party, here are some of the places I would chose.

Boma for breakfast at AKL lodge
'Ohana Character Breakfast at the Poly
Sci Fi at DHS
Whispering Canyon at WL
Teppan Edo at Epcot
Coral Reef at Epcot

our favorites are:
character meals- crystal palace, 1900 park fare (breakfast), chef mickey (dinner), and garden grill, ohana (breakfast).
regular meals- coral reef, tonys town square, 50's prime time, sci-fi, and the hoop-dee-doo.

Family reunion this past spring. 34 of us. Ages 2-75. Made for some interesting ADRs.

Breakfast - definitely Crystal Palace. Also like 1900 Park Fare.
Lunch - DTD Earl of Sandwich, Sci-Fi, Cosmic Rays
Dinner - Chef Mickey's and definitely California Grill (15 adults one night, expensive but the view of the fireworks unrivaled)

You're a lucky family to have 16 go.

I would skip Sci Fi and instead go to 50's prime time cafe at HS. I bet they would have a lot of fun with a party that large:ROFLOL:, and at Sci Fi I would doubt you could sit together and you really cant talk - its got the movies/library feel.

Also, California Grill remember is really pricey and with a party your size anywhere you go will add 18% gratuity. If you like to have any drinks with dinner, this could get outrageous.:hammer:

I just recently discovered ragland road in DTD. It was really good. Not exactly a disney restaurant but it was really fun with a good bunch of performers.

Since you'll be staying at AKL, I can definitely recommend not missing any of the restaurants there...
Sanaa in Kidani Village, and Boma & Jiko in Jambo House. Also, The Mara is a good counter service choice.

I think you'll love the resort overall.

Heading for the great escape.
Were sticking to Signature dining for table service meals as we are now sprog free.

Sannaa is worth a visit, infact all places at AKL are good. Jiko is one of my favourites at WDW

Despite a lot of poor reviews we had an excellent meal at Kouzzina

Kona Cafe is a good lunchtime option to break a day at the MK as is the Wave

Lunch is fine for SCiFi Dine in at the studios but Im not a fan of dinner there
