Just booked for 2nd week of December...

And I'm asking kindly that if you've already booked a trip this week to change it to another week and to please tell everyone you know to avoid WDW the week of December 8 We actually had it reserved for the 1st week of December as that's historically a light crowd week but I got a little spooked since Thanksgiving it so late this year and the first week of December is actually the week after Thanksgiving this year and every historical crowd calendar I could find shows the week after Thanksgiving to be heavier. We'll be surprising our girls with not only the trip but both sets of g-parents will be going this time as well.

Sorry. Can't help you there. We will be there the 5 - 14. Hope it is a little lighter as you say. Only thing I am worried about is the Pop Warner crowds in the resorts. We are staying at the Pop Century and that is where they usually hang out from what I understand.

I have been there the second weekend I did not have a problem with crowds

Pop Warner will be there the week of Dec 8th. The stay mostly at the Sports, Music, and Movies. Some overflow at Pop. It shouldn't effect the parks much but the food courts are extremely crowded! That is the week we have gone for the last 5 yrs or more. Crowds are low with them building toward the end of the week.

We went Dec 7-13 a few years ago. The crowds were a bit heavier than I expected...possibly due to Pop Warner... but still not awful. Keep an eye on the weather though, you never know what you're going to get at that time of year.
