Hi everybody;

I just booked the Backstage Magic tour for me and my girlfriend on the 27th Jan. I know I should have asked first, but was it worth the $200 I just paid? Please be honest, if its good, I will make it a surprise christmas present for my girlfriend, if not I will make her pay her half! :lol:

This is by far my favorite tour they have. It is well worth the $200 and the lunch at MGM is great. The last time I did it we started at Epcot then went to MGM then to the Magic Kingdom and then back to Epcot. You get a certificate and a small gift at the end of the tour.

You are going to have a bunch of fun! I did it a few years back and had a great time, although we picked a bad day to do it. We all met at MGM and went in the backlot and were showed around. It was pretty lame back there, and we had to be silent and couldn't talk or ask questions (there was some kind of meeting going on). We then went to go on a ride on ToT w/o waiting in line, but the ride was having "technical difficulties" at the time, so we couldn't ride (we were all really mad because our guide was going to arrange for us to ride once in the dark, and then again with the lights on). Then we hopped over to MK. At MK we did the Utilidors, which was very cool but very boring at the same time. We walked through almost every land and were tired. I mean, you can only look at cement and pipes for so long before you get bored of it. We exited and went back behind Splash Mountain to look at how it worked, and also to see the parade floats that were back there. That part was cool! Then we went and ate at Cosmic Ray's, rode CoP, walked around MK asking questions and finding out random facts and finding Hidden Mickey's, and went home. I was very tired but well informed. It is worth the money, especially since you are going with your good friend. I was stuck with mom and dad. Have fun!

We are thinking of taking this tour when we are over in early December, two others doing Discovery Cove as the alternative.

What time do the tours generally start these days? I understand it lasts 7 hours but it will be tricky to know where it finishes at for being picked up again (as we'll only have one rental car).
