Just A Quick Question...

My friends and I were talking about Universal and one of them swears they used to do a Disney like fast past system, i.e. putting your entry ticket into a machine and getting a fastpass in return.
I personally can't remember it ever being like this and "Express Passes" only avaliable for purchase
Can anybody help?
:)

Universal changed their policy about 3 years ago. Now only resort guest receive free express pass unless you purchase the pass. I am not sure if they had distribution machines or what??

Your friend is correct. At one time Universal had a fast pass system almost identical to the one currently in use at the Disney parks. It was removed and replaced with the current system in 2006.

My memory may be faulty, but I thought you could actually pick your return time from 2 or 3 options.

Yea you could chose between 2 different times. One time was like an hour away, another was like 3 hours away. Not sure why then got rid of it. Oh well.

Thanks Everyone :)
I'll let my friend know she was right, i really don't remember this system but then again we usually visit in not-so-busy times so we don't often have to use fastpasses
