Hello all!

I'm Matt from Syracuse, NY and found this site sometime in 2012 as my wife and I were planning our wedding. Started by just reading posts on the front page. At some point (can't remember when) I registered in the forums to lurk and keep track of what's been read and what hasn't. Decided now was as good a time as any to start posting and figured I'd start here.

Have been to WDW 10 times, majority when I was a kid (am 28 now). Can remember bits and pieces of the my first trip when I was 5. We went at xmas time and I distinctly remember Santa leaving a goodie bag on the doorknob of our room at Yacht Club. There were Ninja Turtles at MGM, and for some reason I remember walking from EPCOT out the back to Yacht Club with some sort of light up novelty thing at night.

Anyways, my wife and I have been together for over 13 years (started dating in the 10th grade) and we had always talked about how cool it would be to get married at WDW but never thought we'd be able to do so. Well, we got engaged in December 2011. While I was in the ring-buying process, mom requested a wedding brochure and gave it to us the day we got engaged. 10 months later (October 9th 2012) we were on the stage in Italy @ EPCOT with Rev Tim exchanging vows in front of a small group of family members. We had the reception at the Living Seas Salon (above Coral Reef). The fish were a great babysitter for her 2 year old niece who was our flower girl. Pictures, if anybody cares, are here http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattcc716/sets.

Before the wedding, I hadn't been since 2000, coincidentally the year my wife and I started dating. As part of the wedding experience, we received an annual pass good for 1 year from the day we activated it. Needless to say, this was a great excuse to go back. We ended doing so twice in that calendar year, in May and September of 2013. I had never considered myself a "Disney addict". Sure I liked going to the parks and watching the movies etc, but those 3 trips in a year got me. Have since spent countless hours reading stuff on here and other places about current happenings, history, etc.

We're starting to get the itch again but don't have any plans as of yet. Our last trip we planned about a month ahead of time, and we'd definitely do that again. Greatly reduces the "how long till we leave for Disney?" anticipation ;). Maybe we'll go back in October for our 2nd anniversary?

I think I've rambled long enough, so I'll wrap it up. Looking forward to interacting with everyone!
