Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Jurassic World.

Hello, watchers! This is a little personal imagineering project that I've come up with and NOT an official announcement from Universal Parks and Resorts; any and all similarities would be coincidental. With the opening of Jurassic World:The Ride over in Hollywood, the rumored mega-coaster themed to the infamous velociraptors, and the final installment set to open on July 11, 2021, I decide to imagineer a hypothetical Jurassic World for the East Coast. I will be covering this project with three parts; the first post will be about the announcement and closure of Jurassic Park. The second part will be about the grand opening and land overview. And the final posts will cover the attractions, shops, dining, and entertainment options. So without further ado, let's begin on a journey 66 millions years in the making.

Announcement and Closure

Following the success of Jurassic World:The Ride; and with construction of the new mega-coaster, President and Chief Operating Officer of Universal Orlando Resort William A. Davis, Steven Spielberg, and Colin Trevorrow would announce on September 18th, 2019 that Jurassic World would be making its way over to Islands of Adventure, with details kept under wraps, as president Davis described the new land as "the biggest project to have come to Islands of Adventure since The Wizarding World of Harry Potter:Hogsmeade". It would also announced that December 21st would be the closure of Jurassic Park River Adventure, Pteranodon Flyers, Camp Jurassic, The Watering Hole, Pizza Predattoria, Jurassic Park Discovery Center, The Burger Digs, Dinostore, and the boardwalk games. And on that day, theme park enthusiasts and Jurassic Park fans flocked to Orlando to say their goodbyes. The Raptor Encounter, Jurassic Outfitters and Thunder Terrace Falls remained open a little later but would soon close on March 21st of 2020. As for Skull Island:Reign of Kong, while it it would not close to make room for JW, it would have to close down a couple of times for work that would be close enough to affect Kong such as working on the paths.
Much like when Merlinwood was being transfromed into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter:Hogsmeade, guest walking throught the now walled off land would catch small glimpses of the ongoing transformation from behind the work walls on either side. Rumours would also speculate about the possible attractions; ranging from a walk-through attraction featuring new dinosaurs and a Gyrosphere coaster replacing Pteranodon Fliers to the new coaster involving the Indominus Rex and Jurassic World River Adventure not being a copy of Jurassic World:The Ride. But what no one predicted was that on June 12 would have something bigger, louder and with more teeth.

Well they would have to include screens for the Masosaurus scene.
Not in my version. My Jurassic World River Adventure will tie more closely to the Cretaceous Cruise from the Jurassic World website. I’ll have the mosasaurus in another area of the park.

You can’t have a Jurassic World River Adventure without the Mosasaurus getting the riders wet.
