I have gone the last two Junes (2002 - Old Key West (party of 9) and 2003 - Wilderness Lodge (party of 5))

Be prepared for the rain. Take umbrellas and/or ponchos and a positive attitude about it.

Be meticulous in your planning. Have every detail mapped out from wake up times to bed times. Include allotments for travel to and from parks. You may become known as the "Disney Nazi" in your family, but it will be worth it, trust me. Definately use your idea of parks in the AM and PM with a nice break in between.

Hope this helps!

Have fun, I wish I were going again this year, but alas, I have to wait for 2005.

OH my gosh!!!! Buckeye, my family calls me the "Disney Dictator" even had a t-shirt made with that on the front and "Sergeant Schildroth" the back! (schildroth is our last name).

If you are going with children my tips would be :

1). head to your local Dollar General/Wal-Mart whathave you, and buy those water bottle/fans and lots of batteries! they are very handy to have, and off site much cheaper than disneys (about $16 I think compared to $4)

2). Make sure you know what everyones "must see" lists include, that way everyone will be happy if they see the things that they really want to see. Maybe no one in your group cares if they ride Small world or Astro Orbiter, if thats the case, don't ride those until you've covered everything else.

3). Like Buckeye said Go early and if E-ride nights are available, take advantage of those as well, worth the extra cost for being able to hit the big rides w/minimum wait

4). Have fun, take breaks for drinks, if your watching the parades, grab food to go and eat while your waiting, enjoy an ice cream as well, and take that time to plan the rest of the day.

when in June are you going??? we are going in June too!

We will be there the 10th thru the 18th. We definetly intended to go to the e-nights probably 2 if there is 2 while were there! Rain everyday? Already have ponchos and I have heard many times that people leave the parks during rain and that seems to be when to stay! BWV here we come!!

we will be arriving early on the 12th through the 20th. I cant' wait. haven't made up our minds though, the kids are torn between all star movies or pop century. but if some great codes come out it could be a moderate for us this year! Either way, I don't care, its DISNEY!!!!!

Been there the past 2 Junes as well and much of the same comments...all it did was rain! SO, pack a rain jacket, hat, poncho or whatever you prefer, just in case history repeats itself.

A spray bottle and a towel are also good, just in case the rain holds off. There are spots where you can re-fill the bottle in each of the parks.

One thing I noticed while always working at AK or sometimes MK as well it would always rain about parade time.....which was at MK 3 o'clock, and at AK 4 o' clock...LOL there are my two cents, just watch out for the first week in june....

 That's great! You know, they all complain and tease, but when it comes off smooth, do they thank us?

They darn well better! :hammer:

Yeah, Buckeye, my family teases alot but appreciates it when we get there! I am seriously thinking about ordering the t-shirts from Disney catalog for our trip this time as it will be the first for all of us to be there together!

But really I am the one who gets up at the crack of dawn to try to get the ps for those special character meals, who knows when the eride nights are and which parks are early entry. without me and my insane desire to read every guidebook, visit this website regularly, and plan, plan and plan some more, they would just be like all the other tourists walking around saying "ok, now what?"

Well, Feb. is almost over so hopefully we will be getting info soon. Sorry to post this but I am just getting anxious. I'd like to give everyone a rough idea of what to expect & look forward to this time around, especially since it will be the first time onsite for a few in my family. Also when going with 12 it does take a bit of planning. Also are the eride nights still about $12 adults?
