June 1-9

This is our first time going to Disney in summer. We also have only gone in off season (nov x3 and January.

I am actually feeling a little anxious about it. I have checked the crowd calendars and temps.

Any thoughts for this time of the year?

If the heat horrible/crowds crazy?

We'll be there the same time and it's also our first summer trip (other than late August). All of our others have been Oct/Nov. I was a bit nervous about the crowds as well, but for people who have been multiple times and know how to do WDW I don't think it's anything to worry about. We're touring plans nerds, and the crowd calendar is showing anywhere from 5 up to 7 overall, but some parks as low as 2 for certain days. Come check out the June trip club thread - we've been discussing the crowds in there too.

June 1-7 should be manageable because most schools are still in session and technically it's still "spring". It will be the typical 3 H's for Florida ( Hot, Humid, Hazy) w/ thunderstorms and/or rain showers just about daily. No big deal though!:) You'll enjoy it no matter what!:D

We were there that same time frame last year. The crowds weren't that bad. Our biggest issue was the rain, it was an unusual week in that it rained most of the afternoon and evening almost every day. I'm not talking about pop up storms that come and go, it was just plain rainy every afternoon.

I'm split about 50/50 on this...I do like going in late Oct. and Dec., which brings better weather and the holiday offerings, but then I start missing the spring/summer flowers, when the resort's landscaping is at its best. Yes, plan on at least a few spring showers, and yes, it will be very humid and hot, but you plan around the hottest part of the day by leaving the parks for a few hours for pool time if that's your thing, or a nap and shower before you head back out at dinnertime. There is no way you will be able to go a full day from park opening to closing and enjoy it if you don't take a break from the heat.
