July Crowds

I'm going to be in Florida from June 30th until July 7th and I was just wondering what the crowd situation will be like at the parks. Cheers.

If i am correct, summer is the most crowded time at WDW. Thats why the Seasonal Passholder dates are blocked out during those months. So you might be in for a heck of a ride.

We use to go on the week of 4th of July every year. We love it and the parks are open later, rides seem to be out of rehab and we have never waited longer than 15 minutes for a ride but we don’t have kids so we were not waiting for Peter Pan or the small kid rides that seemed to have long lines. We have never had a problem with crowds. It gets a little hot but it was hotter when we went in August. I think July or late June is our favorite time to go.

I have always gone in July and have never had a problem - however this past year we went in July and it was nuts!!! Long lines for just about everything, walkways and shops packed with people, restaurants were crowded, and to top it all off it was about 117 degrees in the shade... It was rough.

We won't be going in July again - trying November next time.

I would prepare for the worst, but you could get lucky and hit it just right and miss the crowds. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

You are going during the fourth of July...I would expect crowds to be very heavy. The past few years, I believe that a few of the parks have hit max capacity on that day. Just keep that in mind when planning your trip. Either get to the parks extremely early, or avoid the parks at all costs those days.

I've only been once in July and it wasn't bad at all. Didn't really wait in any lines - just used fast pass when needed. Universal Studios, on the other hand, was horrendous.

While July may seem crazy for people who are used to going in the off season, it's really not THAT bad, especially seeing as you'd be braced for the crowds. I find it worse when I go during the "off season" and find moderate (or even high) crowds that I wasn't expecting.

Bottom line: plan for it to be crowded, and be pleasantly surprised if it's not. (I plan to go there for two weeks from mid to late July this year)

However, if you do choose to go during the 4th of July, may God have mercy on your soul!!!

I'm used to going in October, but I have been in the Easter holidays in March one year and I didn't think it was THAT bad. I don't know, as long as we get there for park opening and do the busiest rides first, it won't be that much of a problem.

Just another quick question, will there much of a difference in crowds the week after July 4th? Also will the whole July 4th week be the same crowd wise?

*OK I lied, that was two questions.
