I go to WDW for Independence Day every year. So far I've spent each of them at Epcot simply because it's such an amazingly patriotic celebration all day long. Voices of Liberty and Vybe have done a combined special show several times on Independence Day the last two years in the American Gardens Theater. And seeing American Adventure is a must for Independence Day. (As is thumbing your nose at the UK as you walk past. ) Reflections is the same show it always is, but then there's a special finale. Back in the late '90s, it was AMAZING. Lately it's been shorter, but has an amazing amount of shells in the air at once.
Yes, it's busy. But if you look at it as a different sort of day at the park, a day where you are willing not to ride as many attractions, but celebrate our independence with some great shows, great fireworks, and a great atmosphere, nothing beats Epcot!
Maybe one day I'll get over to the MK for Independence Day and record the fireworks as I've done at Epcot...we'll have to see.
