July 3rd-4th Question

We are thinking about heading to Disney for July 3rd-4th for the first time but I had a concern and wanted to get everyone's thoughts. We're thinking about going to MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th.

We have APs this year, and my preference would be to head to the parks later in the day and just get in for the fireworks, but everything I read says get there early and stay for the whole day. We're really not too concerned about lines or getting on any specific rides. Any chance there will be capacity closings that would include AP holders? Has anyone seen this happen in the last few years? I know it will be very crowded and crazy, but as long as I can get in for the fireworks, I'll be fine.

we are there the same time, if u are not staying in a disney resort u need to get there early bcoz chances are the parks esp MK will close to guests not staying in wdw

everywhere will be packed! we use to go for the 4th but it is just way to busy for us. with the 4th being on a saturday I am sure it will be really crazy. MK was usually packed and at capacity by noon. We had a hard time even getting into the polynesian and we had a concierge room there!!

Get there early or risk not getting in at all! Even in the early stages of closure (which I hear can happen early in the day), the car parks close which would obviously cause some problems.
