July 2017 Trip Planning

Good Morning,

I am new to this site, but I am not new to WDW!
I am excited to make a trip to WDW with my cousin this July. We have been to WDW on many occasions (we used to go twice a year as kids but as adults I personally have been there not as frequent as I would like; my last trip was last March but just to MK and EPCOT, prior to that December 2012), but this time we decided we needed to leave the husbands at home and run ourselves ragged throughout the parks. We have not been to WDW in the summer in almost 18 years (yikes) and we know it will be busy and hot! However, as I am planning the logistics while my cousin is currently on her honeymoon (fast passes open tomorrow) I am finding this trip to be a little challenging to fit everything in.

Suggestions are NEEDED and very much welcomed!

Day 1: 7/26- Arrive at MCO 11:15am- Magical Express to Pop Century. Ideally we want to be at MK no later than 2pm
Park: MK
Magic Hours: 10pm-12am (if we are not too tired)
Fast Pass Projections: 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash, Space or Buzz
Dinner: Be Our Guest @MK
Evening Fun: New Fireworks

Day 2: 7/27
Park-EPCOT
Magic Hours: 8-9; Soarin’ right away and if necessary we will single ride Test Track
Fast Pass Projection: Frozen Ever After, Character Spot, Journey Into Imagination
Additional Plan: 3pm Behind The Seed Tour @The Land
Dinner: San Angel Inn @Mexico Pavilion
Evening Fun: Illuminations

Day 3: 7/28
Park: NONE, hoping it is a beautiful day for the pool
Breakfast: ‘Ohana
Evening: Disney Springs
Dinner: Morimoto Asia
(We may have to alter plans if the weather is bad)

Day 4: 7/29
Park: AK
Magic Hours: 8-9-hoping to hit up Everest (cousin cannot ride due to Vertigo), but main plan is to get to Na'vi River Journey.
Fast Pass Projection: Avatar Flights of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur
Dinner: Tusker House-Rivers of Lights Entry (we get priority and guaranteed seating).
Evening Fun: River of Lights
**If we have too much time at AK we can go back to Hotel, or try to do a few rides at HS**

Day 5: 7/30
Park: HS
Magic Hours: 8-9- hoping to Ride TOT (my favorite and cousin cannot go on) right away or Rockin’ Roller Coaster (cousin can do this one)
Fast Pass Projection: Toy Story Mania, Star Tours, Frozen Sing-A-Long or TOT
PARK HOP: likely back to Epcot to enjoy more of the World Showcase
Dinner:
TBD (we are on the dining plan and will have already used up credits)
Evening Fun: back to HS for Fantasmic

Day 6: 7/31
Park: AK (if we want more of Pandora)
Magic Hours: 8-9
Projected Fast Pass: Na’vi River Journey in case we cannot get on it Day 4, Finding Nemo-The Musical, Expedition Everest (in case I cannot get on the other day we are there, this can and will likely change).
Park Hop to MK to finish out the day to end the trip
Magical Express to MCO @ 5pm

Everything looks great to me. My only advice is, we go the opposite direction of extra magical hours in the morning. You will find the other parks less crowded with no EMH.

Have a great trip!!!

Thank you! I can see why one would do that. We generally use the magic hours, but that is an idea if the pool day does not pan out!
