Journey Through Time Pavillion

Here's a press release-

November 20, 2004 Prepare to go through the many different eras of time when the Journey Through Time Pavillion opens at Epcot in the Walt Disney World Resort.

The pavillion, which is slated for opening in 2008, will be located between the Living Seas and the Land pavillons. When Journey Through Time opens, it will be the home of two attractions- TimeRacers and the Timekeeper, which will move from the Magic Kingdom, also at the Walt Disney World Resort.

TimeRacers uses brand new, state-of-the-art ride systems, allowing guests to enter the TimeRacer 2000 and head back to different times in history, such as the Ice Age, Ancient Rome, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the Great Depression, and even the Future in an all new high-speed thrill ride.

Journey Through Time will also hold a new interactive experience called Time Talk. In Time Talk you are able to talk to Audio-Animatronics in many different eras of time.

Watch out for the Journey Through Time Pavillion, opening at Epcot in 2008.

Awesome! It will be a shame to ruin all of that beautiful landscaping to place another pavilion, but I'm so happy that they have decided to make a new pavilion!!!!! I'm glad that Time Racers was not realistic for SSE otherwise this opportunity may not have been available. I hope that they update TimeKeeper when they put it in over there. To me it is currently an "okay" attraction with very little repeat value. I also hope that they include more in the pavilion such as an area for technology of the past, present, and future. That would be nice. I wonder what else they may do in the future to expand the future land area?

Nice plan, but the major criticism of any ideas for Epcot is that 'Future World' is all about progress, technology and the future of stuff. Don't worry Ive been there too, it just seems to me that this is going the other way; focusing on the past. I'm all for rescuing Timekeeper and 6 eye. Keep on imagineering

Here's the food court and gift shop stuff.

The food court at Epcot's Journey Through Time Pavillion is all about eating in the Past, the Present and the Future. At the Time Machine Munchings Food Court you have 3 choices on where to eat. Head to The Past to grab a Turkey Leg, the Present for some sandwiches, or The Future to grab some desserts. While you're eating, notice all of the tools that people have/will use[d] over many different eras. When you've finished eating, head over to the Tick-Tock Clock Shop to see our selection of different clocks, digital, analog or even a sun dial! And then head over to The TimeRacers Co. Machine Shop to see some very futuristic merchandise. Keep an eye out for Journey Through Time Pavillion, blasting into Epcot in 2008!

Hey, I was just thinking, what about adding a new ride to the line-up. It's called HORIZONS. Do you think there will be space?

Well, what does Test Track have to do with the future? Or even Soarin'?

Well, nothing really. But as an idealist, the original EPCOT was designed on these principles; Horizons showed the future generally e.t.c. (as far as I gather) World of Motion was all about transport of different eras.

Don't get me wrong, your idea could work if it goes i =n a certain direction, the food court idea is v. good.

okay, this is what i was thinking. In January, when the Land goes down for rehab, the gardens will be moved around to accomodate the pathway to Journey Through Time. Also happening during that time, the foundation will go up.

I'm sorry, What is Sage of Time?I don't think i've seen Tapestry of Nations (or i don't remember seeing it), but this sounds like a good idea.

Get to www.disneydreams.net and go to their Audio/Video section. There is a full video of the show there. Convert to the Church of the Sage of Time, other members love this parade and you will too. CONVERT!

Okay, I get it... Sage of Time will play at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM heading down the Memory Lane pathway, around a large fountain, and back up Memory Lane. (pathway to the pavillion)
